INTERNSHIP SUMMARY
As an Equity Intern Analyst, the selected candidate will be conducting fundamental investment research including: industry & trends analysis, financial reporting & modeling, and executive interviews.
In addition, the intern will be fully responsible for an independent investment project that will have a significant impact for our firm. Similar projects carried out in previous years have allowed candidates to study key sectors of the global stock market while developing new analysis tools.
Such projects, key to WPI’s future success, have resulted in sizeable investments in companies recommended by interns.
The internship’s duration will be determined according to the availability of the intern (at least 3 months).
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Full-time student at the undergraduate (bachelor’s) or graduate (master’s, graduate diploma, PhD) level
- Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership traits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage deadlines with multitask effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English and working proficiency in French
- Previous experience in investment/finance (internship, student investment funds) is an asset
- Computer programming skills and familiarity with Bloomberg also an asset
