POSITION: Senior Technology Lead

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Technology Lead to own and drive WCM’s technology agenda, reporting directly to a tech-focused Chief Operating Officer. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a builder-operator — someone who combines deep technical proficiency with strong business acumen and the drive to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

The Senior Technology Lead will take direct ownership of a broad portfolio of strategic projects spanning all three business units, with a mandate to implement, integrate, and continuously improve the systems and tools that power WCM’s operations.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Systems Implementation & Integration

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of enterprise systems across business units, including fund accounting platforms, investor portal solutions, CRM integrations, and productivity tools
• Design and develop integrations between internal and third-party systems via APIs, webhooks, and scripting to ensure seamless data flows across the organization
• Build and maintain internal tools, automation scripts, and prototypes that improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
• Oversee data consolidation initiatives aimed at providing a unified view of client portfolios and financial information across WCP, WGAM, and WPI

Enterprise Technology Evaluation & Selection

• Lead structured evaluations of enterprise software solutions, including fund accounting systems, investor portals, AI and LLM tools, analysis platforms, and other productivity solutions
• Define and document requirements in collaboration with department heads and business unit leaders, and translate those requirements into actionable technical recommendations
• Manage vendor relationships, conduct RFPs, and support negotiation and contracting processes

Project Management & Reporting

• Own project planning, execution, and delivery for active technology initiatives across the enterprise
• Maintain clear and consistent reporting on project status, milestones, risks, and outcomes for the COO and senior leadership
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and external consultants or vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and on scope

Technology Advisory & Strategic Support

• Provide technology due diligence and advisory services in support of acquisition targets and public equity research projects
• Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide technology policies, governance frameworks, and data security standards
• Serve as a trusted technology advisor to department heads and business unit leaders across the organization

WHO YOU ARE

You are a senior technology professional with 8 or more years of experience across technology implementation, systems integration, and digital transformation. You have built and deployed tools, not just managed their deployment. You are equally comfortable writing a Python script, configuring an API integration, and presenting a technology roadmap to executive leadership.

You thrive in environments where you are trusted to take ownership, define the path forward, and deliver results independently. You have a natural ability to translate complex business requirements into workable, pragmatic technical solutions — and you know when to build versus when to buy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 8+ years of progressive experience in technology roles, ideally spanning consulting, SaaS, and/or startup environments
• Proven hands-on proficiency in Python and scripting for automation, data processing, and tooling
• Deep experience with API and system integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, event-driven architectures)
• Demonstrated ability to implement and configure enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, fund accounting platforms, investor portals, or similar)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack tools
• Familiarity with AI and LLM tools and their practical enterprise applications
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)

Assets

• Experience in financial services, asset management, or investment management
• Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg API/BQL environments
• Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM configuration and integration
• Exposure to technology due diligence in the context of M&A or equity research
• Experience building or managing BI and reporting tools
